Love that title : Stump The Sphinx! Somehow it’s made me want to see Pasolini’s version of Oedipus Rex(Edipo Re) again… The way the Sphinx sequence was done in that film is quite mesmerising.

Greetings Hasan—I think you’ll like some of the new ideas I am throwing into the ring this month—feedback always welcome. BTW the sphinx photo makes me want to do a sphinx roundup . Have you ever done a pictorial look at how it’s (she’s) been portrayed through history? One of my favorites is the vase painting with Oedipus in traveler’s garb, trying madly to think of the right answer.
